Its been nearly 30 years since Anton Johnson left the Millers, now he has brought a book out giving his side of the story which nearly saw the Millers out of existance.

His autobiography. Bungs, Boardrooms and Butchery, which is out in April, includes details of his time at Millmoor from 1979 to 1983.

And the 70 year-old told todays Advertiser he wants to clear the air: “It will cover lots of things, the good and the bad. I'm going to set the record straight on what really happened at Rotherham and I guarantee it will change people's perceptions of me.

“We had some super times and the gates shot up. I loved my time in Yorkshire and the Rotherham people and contrary to speculation, the finances were not bad at the club and when I left it was in quite a healthy state. I want to clear the air on a few things,” he added
