I want 12 headaches come summer - Ronnie

With 12 of the current players out of contract in the summer, boss Ronnie Moore has thrown down the gauntlet to them to prove thier worth. Speaking to the Advertiser today, Ronnie was blunt when it comes to the future of some of his players, with half the squad out of contract come June, he's looking for some big performances from them."We have 12 players out of contract this summer and they should all be bursting blood vessels to prove their worth. After all, where are they going from here? Certainly not Real Madrid.""I want a big headache this summer about who goes and who stays, I don't want my decision to be easy. They should want to do well not just for me and the club, but for themselves." he added."Hundreds of scouts come to games and you are not going to get a club if you don't perform, especially with so many cutting back these days. We want scouts coming here and who then go home and tell the manager, 'there's a lad at Rotherham with limited ability but he doesn't half work.'" Moore is looking to ship some of his players out to trim his squad of 24 down and said; "I've circulated the names of our players to other clubs but the phone hasn't exactly been red hot. The players here are so like-for-like in ability they're like peas in a pod. I want 14 lads I can go to war with.""I know I've not been a fan of Don Valley Stadium and our performances haven't generally been good there but from now on I'm going to stop talking about it. As a player, if you can't get up for playing in front of 3,500 at Don Valley, you shouldn't be in the game.""If I see anyone, even Alfie and our best players not running around and putting a shift in, they will be sitting at the side of me." he warned.Welcome to MillersMadHere's our LATEST Messageboard topics MillersMAD are proud sponsors of Dale Tonges home kit.
