The midfielder has enjoyed a fresh lease of life under caretaker boss Darren Patterson and new manager Steve Evans since the departure of Andy Scott, whom Pringle didn't always see eye to eye with.
He told the Advertiser: “The gaffer comes with a so-called reputation as being a hard guy and a shouter and all the rest of it, but sometimes if you want to be a winner, that's what you need.
"You need a kick up the backside and someone to scream in your face to let you know they're serious. Throughout this season it has been easy and going through the motions for some people, and I think he has come in and refreshed everything up.”
Pringle adds: “I have always been here but for some reason the guy before (Scott) didn't want to play me and I can't do much about that. He didn't want to put his personal battles aside to play the better team. He wanted to punish a lot of individuals for whatever reason because he thought he was better than the people in the team.
“It's an ongoing debate that is getting a bit boring though now he's gone. We need to kick on now under the new manager. I've always been determined and I always knew I was good enough and believed in my own ability.
“I couldn't do much more. I wasn't playing and no player wants that, so to come in and start the last ten or 11 games is brilliant.”
