Hunt - It's not been the start we expected

Defender Nicky Hunt spoke to the Star today and admitted that the Millers start to the season isnt what was expected and there was more to come from him

The 29 year old defenders told the Star that the injury he picked up prior to the seasons start has hampered him.

“It has been very frustrating; I played the majority of pre-season and then I got injured, It was really disappointing to pick up the knock but it was just one of those things. I am not thinking about that now."

“I think I have shown in the last few matches I am fit now. I am only going to get fitter the more games I play. I know there is another 20 per cent to come from me. I am getting there gradually.” he added.

Hunt went on to look at the Millers start to the season; “It has been a mediocre start and not what we were expecting. We have got to get our heads down, carry on working hard, get the results that we need and hopefully around the Christmas period we will be back in and around the top three."

“We started off like a house on fire, especially at home but we can’t transfer that into the away form. Injuries didn’t help earlier on in the season but we need the fans to stick with us. We will improve.”
