Hero Logan Takes The Plaudits

Conrad Logan says he's enjoyed taking the plaudits for last weeks penalty heroics but he wants to crack on and produce some consistent performances.

Logan has made a couple of bloopers in recent weeks at Northampton and Barrow, but was the hero last week as he saved Mike Flynn's injury time spot kick to earn the Millers a 3-2 win at Bradford.

Speaking to todays Tiser, he said it’s how you respond to setbacks that matters.

“You couldn’t write a script like that,” said Logan, on loan from Leicester City. “I’m obviously delighted but sometimes you’d rather go through the season and be nice and consistent when no-one even knows you’re even there.

“But that’s not the way it is, it’s part and parcel of goalkeeping in that you sometimes make errors and then make good saves. Everyone makes mistakes but it’s how you respond. I think I’m mentally strong enough to respond to anything. But I’ll take the plaudits for now but try and keep my feet on the ground, keep level and just crack on. Hopefully we’ll keep that bit of a run going and climb up the table.

“I think we were the better team at Bradford. It’s a great stadium with a lot of fans and in the end they were sucking the ball in in the last few minutes. I’m not sure if the first one was a penalty or not, but that’s the way things are. We managed to get a result out of it. “

Logan added;: “I’m enjoying playing here. Initially my loan is until December 31 and I’m going to have to speak to Leicester because they’ve got a new manager there. We’ll have to assess things and see where things are at.”
