Having a run is helping my form - Grabbs

The Millers top scorer Lewis Grabban talks to the 'Tiser about his current form.

He's played up front and on the wing, but Lewis Grabban tells the tiser that he'll get goals for the Millers from wherever he plays.

The 23 year old has netted 13 times so far this season and he puts that down to having a good run in the side.

“My form has been good so far and what has made the difference is having a run of games and not being in and out of the team like I was at Millwall and when I've been out on loan. It's always better to have a consistent run of matches because you've got your fitness and more confidence when you are on the pitch."

“It's true I've been pushed out wide right sometimes but you've got to do a job for the team and I've still nicked a few goals; penalties have helped me out."

"When you play out wide, you have to be able to come inside and still make runs between the full-back. I obviously prefer being central, you've more chance of scoring, but I can still score from wide positions.”

Grabs then spoke about the goals against column which he admits needs working on; “We made a couple of mistakes defensively but we dug deep and did well to get the result. The pitch was heavy and difficult but it was good to get the win because we needed it and it keeps us in touch with the play-offs and the rest of the pack."

“We can't set out to out-score teams every week. We need to stop the goals going in and if we do that we'll be cruising. At 2-0 up we need to close games out. We shouldn't be any sort of position to end up drawing or even losing."

“We've some things we still need to work on.”
