Harris can't wait to get started

New loan defender Bob Harris talks to the clubs website about his move to the Millers last evening. “I had a phone call from Ian Holloway asking if I’d be interested in joining Rotherham because they have some injuries at the moment and I need some game time”, Harris told themillers.co.uk.    “We decided it would be good for me to get some games with the Millers. If I’m not going to be playing at Blackpool then I’d be looking to extend the deal, it would clearly benefit me and both clubs.    “I had an injury at the end of pre-season, and although I’ve been back fit for a while the gaffer said I need some game time. He’s said I’m in his plans but need a few games under my belt before I’m available. I’ve played in reserve games and in the game against Barnsley so I am fit, and I just want to get going.   “I’m looking forward to coming and doing my best for Rotherham. I know that the manager is Scottish which helps. He likes to play in the right way. I like to get forward, and get to the byline when possible and I scored a few set-pieces when I was playing in Scotland.   "At the end of the day if I can help Rotherham win some games, then that is the important thing," he added.   Gaffer Steve Evans added: “I have watched Bob on a number of occasions, and each time I have left the ground impressed. He is an accomplished defender, has a sweet left foot, and will offer us some real quality down the left hand side of the pitch.   “I would obviously like to thank Blackpool manager Ian Holloway for his help in signing this young man."
