Good start capped a tough pre-season - Brown

Defender Troy Brown was delighted with a clean sheet and a winning start as he settles into his new partnership with Ryan Cresswell. Speaking after Saturday's 1-0 win over Oxford, Brown said the hard work had paid off and the Millers now need to keep it going. "It's good for my confidence, the keeper, the backline and everyone in the team, to get a clean sheet but our task now is to keep that going. "We have to keep focused but although there are 45 games to go, we know what we have to do," he told the clubs website. "You can see there is quality in the squad with the likes of Danny Schofield and Lewis Grabban, who got a great goal today. All the new additions have been good for the squad and it's been a tough pre-season but it has paid off today. "We have to keep getting clean sheets and winning as simple as that and see where that takes us." However, the 20 year-old is set to miss Tuesday's Carling Cup game with Leicester on Welsh International duty, meaning Michael Raynes is in line for his debut after signing from Scunthorpe on Friday afternoon.
