Gaffers meetings and waiting continues

Boss Andy Scott continues to wait on his players about their contract offers and also from agents of prospective new signings. Speaking to Millersplayer over the past week, Scott revealed things are still very much up in the air in all areas.  "I've had some individual meetings with players which I'm hopeful of concluding one or two very soon. I've offered them deals and spoken to their agents but there's players going away at the moment so until they come back from their holidays we won`t know anything for sure but I`m hopeful of a couple", he said. "I'm hoping to have at least a squad of 20 but I want 20 hungry players who are capable of playing in the first team who can keep their shirt and do the job thats required of them." Scott is still waiting to hear back from Ollie Banks, Ryan Taylor, Jamie Annerson and Nicky Law about contract offers and also added he'd like to strengthen his defence in pre-season. "We've got to strengthen the centre-half position because we've only got Ryan Cresswell who's on contract at the moment and we probably need a little bit more experience. It's a waiting game really."
