Gaffer Andy Scott tells the Star today the the team are good enough to challenge for promotion and thier fitness levels will help.

“I believe we are good enough and that, with a couple of changes, I honestly believe we can challenge for the top three,” Scott said.

“Firstly we have to get some points in now to get as near the play-offs as we can and then be prepared for the second half of the season, hopefully bringing a couple more into the squad. We want to be in a position to kick on and, with our fitness levels and the bodies we have here, I think we will be strong in the second half of the season."

“Usually, teams who get on a run in the second half of the season are the ones who get into the play-offs or, with the momentum they have, sneak into the top three with no pressure on them. It’s happened often in the past.”

“But we need to be more solid as a group, be harder to beat and as soon as we do that then we will get on a roll and the momentum can carry us through.

“But we must not look too far ahead. The next game is far enough. The win at Hereford was an important one and we can use the result to build on but only if we add to it,” he added.
