Fans need to be considered - Evans

Boss Steve Evans says it's about time the fans were considered more after yesterdays rained off game at Brisol Rovers.

The match was called off at around noon with alot of Millers fans already in or around the Bristol area after their early morning departures.

''The match referee made the correct decision as the pitch was clearly unplayable but to be fair to him he confirmed he was consistently told via telephone all morning that the match was not in any danger," said Evans to the clubs official website.''As the rain continued to lash down I sent two members of my coaching staff to look at the pitch mid-morning, and they telephoned me immediately to confirm the pitch was sodden and had puddles all over it. When the match referee arrived at the stadium it took him no more than a minute or so to postpone the match.''It is now about time our traveling supporters were taken into consideration, just what has gone on recently is not acceptable. I spoke to my Chairman Tony Stewart earlier today and he was also furious but let us put it behind us and focus on Port Vale on Boxing Day.”
