The Millers have been keen to bolster their attack as they look to put the finishing touches to their squad for the new season.
Evans told todays Star: “I think that if it isn’t sorted by the time we go to Mansfield on August 4, then perhaps it’s not going to happen and we move on.
“I’ve been in regular touch with his club’s manager who says that if the lad is going anywhere then it’s to us.”
