Evans remains picky over player selection

08 November 2012 10:36
Boss Steve Evans explains to todays Star that he is still in the hunt for the right type of player.

Evans says he won't sign players just for the sake of it, despite Chairman Tony Stewart making money available.

“I’m the stubborn little bugger who’s saying ‘no’ because he’s not good enough or not the right character,” said Evans.

“I’m not going to bring players in if they can’t get into the team. That’s the benchmark. We are still a work in progress and If we are around the play-offs in January then I’ll be pleased.”
