Decision was a no brainer - Lids

Caretaker manager Andy Liddell says the decision to take the reigns until the end of the season was straight forward. Liddell steps upto the mark from reserve team manager after the departure of Ronnie Moore and leads the first team out at Lincoln tonight for the first time. And he told todays Tiser: "I'll be proud, excited and nervous."It's an absolutely fantastic opportunity. I was surprised to be offered the position— I didn't see it coming—but I didn't hesitate at all. We have nine games to go and we've got good players and we're in a good position so it was a no-brainer. "All I have thought about is preparing the team for tonight, Tuesday and next Saturday," he added. "I'm sure if we do well then the chairman will pull me to one side and tell me what he wants to do. "I'm employed by the club. If they tell me they don't want me to work for them any more, then fair enough. If they say they would like to offer me this or that position, then I would consider anything. But my main aim now is to prepare the players, to support them and be as positive as I can with them and let's see where we finish."
