Cresswell to see specialist

Ryan Cresswell will learn by the end of today if he needs a major operation on his injured ankle.

The Millers captain will have ligament damage assessed today and a decision will be made if he will undergo major surgery or just a keyhole operation to clean the tissue.

Eiher way, Cresswell is looking at a lengthy absence. Surgery could mean 3 to 4 months on the sidelines whilst cleaning the injury could singal upto a 6 week layoff before he can return to training.

Boss Andy Scott is still trying to strengthen his defensive options in the loan market with the teams injury and overall form issues, although Troy Brown has returned to training following International duty.
