Rotherham captain Ryan Cresswell has given caretaker manager Andy Liddell and his assistant Paul Warne his full support.
The duo, who have both been on the Millers` coaching staff for the last two years, have been handed the reins at Don Valley until the end of the season following the departure of Ronnie Moore on Tuesday.
They are tasked with trying to resurrect Rotherham's faltering promotion campaign and Cresswell thinks they are the right men for the job.
"They have got the full backing of the lads. They are good at what they do, they are both ultra professional," he told Press Association Sport.
"I think it is a good step for the club and hopefully we can push on. I don't see why we can't still make the top three."
