300 people attended yesterdays meeting at Magna as the Millers laid down plans to local businesses and firms to get involved in the building on their new stadium. The Millers board met with prospective clientel and outlined plans for their new home, giving people the chance to pledge their involvement. "We have said this will be a community stadium and very keen it will be that in every sense hence our intention to have it built by people and firms from Rotherham,” said Chief Operating Officer Paul Douglas to the Star. “There was an excellent response, better than we anticipated, and it reminded us all how much skill, and diversity of it, there is in the locality. “Having it built by Rotherham firms will mean so much more and bring it even closer to the community - local people, local firms saying they built this or supplied that," Douglas added.
