Boss praises magnificent Millers
Such has been their achievement this year, many people have forgotten that Robins' men began the season on minus 17 points and have been forced to play in Sheffield - and had it not been for that deduction, Rotherham would actually have finished in fifth place.
"It was a disappointing way to end the season, but from our point of view it has been a magnificent season after the start we had and all the problems we faced," said Robins.
"We came through them all with flying colours, and now we can look forward to a break before starting again next season."
Robins also praised Exeter and claimed they deserved their win and added: "Congratulations to them, I thought they were outstanding. They passed it better than us, they were going for promotion and it looked like it."
