Boss bemoans defending after Cup exit

Rotherham manager Ronnie Moore was left to rue wayward finishing and lacklustre defending as his side crashed out of the FA Cup following a humiliating 3-0 first-round replay defeat to York. The Millers bossed the first half and should have been ahead, but Stephen Brogan hit the woodwork and also dragged wide with the goal at his mercy while Adam Le Fondre produced a wild finish when through on goal. And they were made to pay after the break as they succumbed to an impressive York who blitzed them with a 13-minute three-goal barrage. "We should have been out of sight," Moore said. "You can`t have the chances we had and not take anything. "But we came out in the second half and thought it was going to be easy. We started so slow. And it was the worst defending I've seen in a long, long time."
