Blatter 'sorry' for Lampard decision

FIFA president Sepp Blatter apologises to both the English and Mexican FA for the recent poor decisions at the World Cup, and vows to review the debate over goal technology. As we all know, despite a shocking Woirld Cup campaign England were robbed of an equaliser in the first half of their last 16 game with the Germans as the ball clearly crossed the line by a good couple of feet. And Blatter, who ruled against introducing the use of technology before the tournament, has held his hands up. "It is obvious that after the experiences so far at this World Cup it would be a nonsense not to reopen the file on goal-line technology," he stated to the BBC. And the Carlos Tevez goal in Argentina's second round win on over Mexico on Sunday - was replayed on the screens in the stadium leading to angry protests. "Personally I deplore it when you see evident referee mistakes but it's not the end of a competition or the end of football, this can happen," added Blatter. "Yesterday I spoke to the two federations [England and Mexico] directly concerned by referees' mistakes. I have expressed to them apologies and I understand they are not happy and that people are criticising. "We will naturally take on board the discussion on technology and have the first opportunity in July at the business meeting." Lets hope we see some action this time instead of just chit chat from the higher quarters...Welcome to MillersMadHere's our LATEST Messageboard topics
