Blades boss Wilson to play strong side

After a recent slump in form Sheffield United manager Danny Wilson says he will send a strong team to face the Millers tomorrow night.

The South Yorkshire sides lock horns in the Johnstones Paint Trophy second round Northern tie at Don Valley, with tickets on both sides selling quickly today.

Wilson saw his side slip down the League One table further after losing to Charlton on Saturday and faces similar problems to opposing boss Andy Scott in trying to find consistency in his ranks after three defeats in four matches.

“We’ve been trying to bring someone in for a while and we’ll carry on doing that,” said Wilson to the Star. “But the simple scenario is that it’s very difficult to try and persuade people to let their best centre-forwards go.

“Derbies are always important and of course we’ll be fielding a strong team,” Wilson aded. “As we’ve always maintained, we want to do well in the competition and after losing we want to bounce straight back with a win.”

The Millers could come up against former players Stephen Quinn and Lee Williamson, whilst the game (7.45pm) is an all ticket affair with Millers fans able to buy from Mangham House until 4pm Tuesday.
