Adams to assess squad
Ross County manager Derek Adams will assess his squad following the cup defeat at Inverness ahead of the Clydesdale Bank Premier League visit of Dundee.
Recent injury absentees Russell Duncan, Mark Corcoran, Sam Morrow and Martin Scott were again missing from the squad against Caley Thistle.
Grant Munro is pushing for a start after replacing fellow defender Ross Tokely at half-time at the Tulloch Caledonian Stadium.
County cancelled their usual pre-match press conference as Adams put the focus on returning to winning ways.
Second-bottom County have not won in seven games ahead of their contest with Dundee, who sit six points adrift at the foot of the Clydesdale Bank Premier League.
But Adams was in relatively upbeat mood after the 2-1 William Hill Scottish Cup defeat by Inverness on Tuesday as he aimed to take their tally to 20 points.
He said then: "If we can reach the 20-point mark then it will have been a great start for us in the SPL.
"If we can get to that tally then we'll match where Aberdeen were at this point last season.
"We've got the third best defensive record at home in the SPL. Now, we've got to look to add to that by scoring goals.
"We've only lost eight goals at home, where we've been very good."
County secured their first SPL win of the season at Dens Park in August thanks to Richard Brittain`s penalty and were unbeaten against Barry Smith`s side last season in the Irn-Bru First Division, winning twice and drawing twice.
Dundee initially took longer to adjust to the SPL than County, unsurprisingly given the lack of preparation time, but skipper Gary Irvine praised County for making their mark with the bulk of the squad that won the Irn-Bru First Division championship.
"They are well organised and a tight unit," the former St Johnstone player said.
"There have not been many changes for a couple of seasons now.
"The standard when they came into this league was phenomenal.
"They have had a few results gone against them, but they make it difficult for teams going up there.
"They knew what they were going into and what they were preparing for and obviously for us everything changed with two weeks to go. So I suppose Ross County had a bit more preparation.
"But if you look at it, there have not been many changes.
"It was the same team that played last year so it's full credit to them the way they started the season."
Dundee are looking to bounce back from their 3-0 derby defeat by Dundee United but had previously lost just once in five games.
"It's a hard one, it constantly plays on your mind," Irvine said. "But you come back into training and straight away we need to gear towards Saturday.
"Outwith last Sunday we were on a really good run, four or five weeks the confidence was high and we were grinding out results.
"We have done really well to pull ourselves back into it and get close to the teams above. It's up to us to get back to winning ways and get even closer."
