Jamie Reckord feels Ross County are now getting recognition they deserve

Ross County have sent a warning of intent with their impressive start to the Ladbrokes Premiership campaign, according to full-back Jamie Reckord.

Jim McIntyre's side have got off to a flyer with three wins and two draws from their first seven games.

Only champions Celtic and newly promoted Hearts have claimed victories over the swaggering Staggies.

That rampant opening has already pushed memories of last season's struggles to one side, with the Dingwall men now up to fourth place in the table.

Bottom side Partick Thistle are now next up at the Global Energy Stadium on Saturday and Reckord believes the Jags will travel north knowing they are in for a tough afternoon.

He said: "We're getting the recognition now for how good a side we are. The other clubs know we're not just here to lay down.

"They know we're going to go out there and look to take the three points.

"It's good to let other teams know that we're a high-pressing team who can be dangerous when we get on the ball.

"We're not getting carried away. We know a couple of bad results could knock us down the table.

"But we believe if we keep taking it one game at a time, we will be able to maintain this form."

Craig Curran will miss the game as he continues to deal with a concussion.

The striker suffered a head knock against Kilmarnock on August 22 and has featured just once since as he suffers with dizzy spells.

Midfielder Rocco Quinn pulled up with a hamstring strain last week against Motherwell but McIntyre would only confirm he is monitoring a "a couple of knocks" ahead of the Jags' visit.

Meanwhile, midfielder Ryan Stevenson insists it would be "ridiculous" for Partick to push the panic button just yet after enduring a poor start to the season.

Thistle are the only top-flight team in Scotland without a league win. But Stevenson claims it is far too early for anyone at Partick to have any real cause for concern.

He said: "It's not ideal being bottom of the league but it would be ridiculous to start panicking.

"If we win our next two or three games, we could be sitting sixth or seventh.

"I don't think you would start panicking until you were past Christmas and bottom of the league then.

"If we went through a run like this midway through the season, I don't think too many people would take much notice.

"It's just a sticky spell and hopefully we can turn it around on Saturday.

"It's not where we want to be, we want to push up the league as quickly as we can."

Partick boss Alan Archibald has no fresh injury worries to contend with.

But the trip to the Highlands is likely to come too soon for Gary Fraser (knock) and Mathias Pogba (hamstring).

Long-term casualty Christie Elliott remains out of action with a spinal injury.
