McLean fit for County

Brian McLean has recovered from a head knock and is available for Ross County's home Scottish Premiership game against Aberdeen on Saturday.

The big defender came off against Motherwell at Fir Park last weekend with concussion but has trained this week.

On-loan Grasshoppers striker Orhan Mustafi remains out with a broken toe while Alex Cooper has a knock.

County boss Derek Adams believes Aberdeen's fans will ensure an exciting clash is played out at the Global Energy Stadium onSaturday.

The Dons have one of the biggest and most enthusiastic travelling supports in the Scottish game and around 2,000 will make the trek north.

The Staggies manager will welcome the red and white army, knowing it will provide a similarly exciting afternoon to the visit of Hearts a fortnight ago.

"I think it will be an excellent atmosphere," said Adams.

"We will have nearly 2,000 fans from Aberdeen here.

"I think there were 900 Hearts fans at the last home game and they made it a terrific atmosphere.

"So it is going to be a very good game."

Aberdeen forward Niall McGinn's ankle injury will be assessed.

Midfielder Barry Robson is recovering from a knee injury but is not yet ready while Chris Clark (knee) and Willo Flood (hamstring) are still out.

The Dons now travel to Dingwall to face Ross County on the back of a six-match unbeaten run and positioned comfortably in fourth.

And winger Jamie Hayes puts the air of confidence swirling round Pittodrie down to boss Derek McInnes.

"The manager has created an atmosphere at the club that even if things aren't going too well, everyone sticks together. It's not just the 11 on the pitch or the squad in the dressing room, it's the whole club.

"He has set high standards and has got everyone to go along with that."
