The defender's injury confounded doctors with one diagnosing it as a cyst and another saying it was an infection.[LNB]The club then sought the opinion of a groin specialist who confirmed it was a hernia problem in an unusual place.[LNB]And the defender - who has made 31 league appearances this season - underwent surgery in the hope he could return for the game against Gillingham on the final day.[LNB]Physio Andy Thorpe told the club's official website: "Sometimes with hernia problems you can get through to the end of the season but he was in too much pain so, having spoken to the manager, we decided to have it done this week.[LNB]"The surgeon has predicted he will only be out for two weeks which means he should be available for our last game of the season."[LNB][LNB]
