Rochdale defender Scott Wiseman is facing a spell on the sidelines after picking up a stomach muscle injury.
Wiseman sustained the problem in the recent win at Southampton and will be closely monitored as he bids to return to full fitness.
Dale physio Andy Thorpe said: "Scott came to me at the end of the game complaining of a pain in his lower stomach and myself and the doctor at Southampton had a look at it.
"We have had the area scanned and it has come back clear in terms of damage or tears, so in the event of any clear evidence we believe he has over stretched the fibres in his lower abdomen muscle so it will feel like a strain.
"It's a tough one to assess in terms of how long he'll be out. We have to take each day as it comes at the moment but Scott is a lot better. We will keep a close eye on him but we feel he's going to be a couple of weeks off yet."
