We were rusty - Hill

Rochdale manager Keith Hill remained philosophical after being held to a 0-0 draw at Walsall but blamed a lack of action in recent weeks for his side's "rusty" performance. The visitors started poorly but improved in the second half and could have nicked the extra points on the break, Matty Done sending a diving header wide from a perfect cross by Gary Jones. Hill said: "I am happy with a clean sheet but I thought we were awful in the first half. "When you're on unbeaten runs like this it's sometimes difficult to keep the lid on confidence and stop it turning into arrogance. "We knew what to expect here because Dean (Smith) has Walsall fighting for their lives. "We have missed being in action through postponements and were very rusty in the first half. Something has to be done about the postponements we have had at our ground, because you want to play games."
