Rochdale defender Nathan Stanton has joined npower League Two outfit Burton. The 29-year-old centre-back has signed a two-year deal after rejecting Dale's offer of a one-year contract extension. Stanton, who spent four years at Spotland and helped them to promotion last season, said the desire and ambition of Brewers boss Paul Peschisolido persuaded him to join the Brewers. "The manager here impressed me a lot," said Stanton. "The facilities here are second to none and that was a major factor in me deciding to come here. I am very pleased to be here. "I am 29 now and I was looking for a two-year deal and they could not offer me that so I thought it was time for me to move on. I have had four great seasons there and I felt it was time for a new challenge."
