Rochdale extended their lead at the top of League Two to nine points as Joe Thompson scored the only goal of the match at Shrewsbury.Tom Kennedy hit the post and crossbar in a first-half during which Shrewsbury were totally outplayed. But substitute Thompson struck for the league leaders when he headed home with his first touch of the game.
