Rotherham 2-1 Rochdale

Adam Le Fondre scored against his former club as Rotherham continued their good start to the season. Le Fondre's second goal in two games came in the 43rd minute, as he got his head to Nicky Law's free-kick. Rochdale hit back soon after as Chris Dagnall latched on to Gary Jones' pass and followed up on his blocked shot to squeeze the ball into the net. Veteran forward Paul Warne's third goal of the season secured the points as he delicately turned in Tom Pope's cross. Rotherham manager Mark Robins told BBC Radio Sheffield: "The pitch was good for both sides. The whole game was excellent as I thought it was ours from the first minute to the last. "In the second half, we backed off a little bit and that's only the down side. "It's the first time we've dominated a game against Rochdale and had decent possession in good areas."
