Matty Lund joins Rochdale wounded ahead of Wigan clash

Matty Lund is the latest player to join the Rochdale injury list ahead of the lunchtime clash with Wigan at Spotland.

The midfielder was withdrawn at half-time of the Johnstone's Paint Trophy defeat to Morecambe on Tuesday because of a thigh strain.

He will miss the visit of Latics along with attacking trio Callum Camps (ankle), Ian Henderson (foot) and Reuben Noble-Lazarus (shoulder).

Jamie Allen has a chance of returning, though, after coming back into full training this week following a dead leg.

New loan signing Alex Revell will come into a Wigan squad not short of attacking options.

Revell made the switch from Cardiff this week and although Will Grigg is away on international duty, Latics boss Gary Caldwell can still call on Yanic Wildschut, Michael Jacobs, Craig Davies and Jordy Hiwula, who scored two in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy on Tuesday.

Both Francisco Junior and Chris McCann are free from suspension having been banned in midweek while the likes of Reece James, Craig Morgan and David Perkins should all return to the starting line-up.

Defender Donald Love is away with Scotland Under-21s, though, while Kevin McNaughton has a knee injury.
