Duo missing for Dale

Rochdale will be without skipper Peter Cavanagh and fellow midfielder Peter Vincenti against Torquay.

Cavanagh served a recent three-game ban, but missed last week's home win against derby rivals Bury due to an Achilles injury that will keep him out for up to six weeks. Brian Barry-Murphy is expected to resume in midfield in the captain's absence.

Vincenti was sent off against Bury for two yellow card offences and sits out a one-game ban, so Matty Done could return to the starting line-up.

Manager Keith Hill has no other new injury or suspension problems as Rochdale bid for a third home league win of the season.

Torquay will be boosted by the return of Welsh winger Billy Bodin for the long trip.

The former Swindon man has been on international duty with his country's Under-21s, making substitute appearances against San Marino and Moldova, but he has now joined up with his team-mates again ahead of the match.

Martin Rice will start in goal once more with injured Michael Poke targeting a return to action in next Tuesday's Devon Bowl clash with Ilfracombe.

Elliot Benyon hopes to be available despite sustaining a foot injury in Tuesday's friendly against Plymouth but defender Kirtys McKenzie will miss out once more.
