Matty Lund available for Rochdale

Rochdale will have Matty Lund to choose from when Scunthorpe visit Spotland on Saturday.

The midfielder made his first competitive appearance of the season last weekend in the 1-0 loss at Burton, following a knee injury sustained in pre-season, and he emerged unscathed, completing 62 minutes.

Lund told the club's website: "It feels like a very long time when you're out. It's good to be back playing and hopefully I can stay fit for the rest of the season. Scunthorpe will be a good team to play against - they're a good side and hopefully we can get three points."

Andrew Cannon will be battling to regain his starting place and winger Nathaniel Mendez-Laing could make his full debut after coming off the bench for the final 28 minutes at the Pirelli Stadium. Keith Hill says he has a virtually fit squad to choose from.

Scunthorpe manager Mark Robins has no fresh injury worries following last weekend's 1-0 victory over then second-placed Coventry City.

He could choose to keep his team unchanged for the first time this season, with only Niall Canavan, Luke Williams and Stephen Dawson still on the sidelines.

Robins saw his personnel problems eased with the return of Jamie Ness last weekend but has not ruled out making further additions to his squad.

He told the Scunthorpe Telegraph: "Things move and change all the time and there are always players on a list or in my mind but it is a case of getting the right ones."
