Lund in Dale frame

Rochdale midfielder Matty Lund will return to contention for the home game against Portsmouth.

Lund sat out of Saturday's win at Wycombe due to a one-game ban, but is expected to return to Keith Hill's squad as Dale bid to stay top of the table.

Leading goalscorer Scott Hogan remains sidelined after missing the last four games due to a knee injury, so Joe Bunney is expected to resume up front alongside Ian Henderson, although George Donnelly provides Hill with an alternative option.

Hill has no new injury or suspension worries as Dale bid for a fourth consecutive league win and a third straight clean sheet.

Portsmouth will be without skipper Ben Chorley.

The defender was sent off during Saturday's 1-0 defeat by York and starts a four-match ban for his second red card of the season.

Midfielders Romain Padovani (calf) and Andy Barcham (thigh) remain injury doubts while striker Michael Drennan's loan from Aston Villa is up, although it should be extended in time for the trip.

Long-term absentees Danny East (ankle), Simon Ferry (back) and Tom Craddock (knee) are still out for Pompey, who are now just one place and three points above the relegation zone.
