Rochdale manager Keith Hill could select his starting XI for the home game against Oxford from an unchanged squad.

Hill has no new injury or suspension worries as his side bid to extend their unbeaten league run to five matches and retain their automatic promotion place.

Midfielder Peter Cavanagh and defender Olly Lancashire are hoping to retain their places after both returned to the starting line-up in last week's win at Exeter following respective hamstring injuries.

Striker George Donnelly and midfielder Peter Vincenti are pushing for recalls, while defender Rhys Bennett and forward Joe Bunney are hoping to return to the squad.

Oxford hope to have strikers Deane Smalley and Dave Kitson available for the trip.

The pair both missed Saturday's 1-1 draw against Morecambe with minor hamstring injuries but caretaker boss Mickey Lewis will give them every chance of proving their fitness.

Tom Newey will definitely miss out as he serves the final match of his two-game suspension with Scott Davies set to deputise at left-back again and a number of senior players join Newey in the stands.

Captain Jake Wright's knee injury rules him out while the game comes too soon for Andy Whing and Jon Meades. Matt Bevans may return to action having been rested against the Shrimps.
