Keith Keane banned for Rochdale

Rochdale midfielder Keith Keane is suspended for the visit of Oxford after he was sent off last weekend.

That could open up a place in the squad for Donal McDermott, who has not featured for the first team since early December.

Fellow midfielder Peter Vincenti is still a couple of weeks away from rejoining the squad having been sidelined since September with an ankle problem.

Striker Joe Bunney (fractured metatarsal) and midfielder Brian Barry-Murphy (Achilles) remain out.

Oxford have no fresh injury concerns as they bid to bounce back from their 2-1 defeat at Wimbledon last time out.

On-loan defender Charlie Raglan and striker Kane Hemmings are pushing for starts while Liam Sercombe could feature in the starting line-up after his speedy recovery from a serious medial knee injury.

Boss Michael Appleton could also bring fully-fit Joe Skarz into his side with the left-back featuring on the bench following his return from a back injury.

Defenders Sam Long (knee) and Christian Ribiero (ankle) are back in training but are still unavailable.
