Rose blow for Dale

Rochdale will be without suspended defender Michael Rose for their FA Cup clash with Leeds.

Rose was sent off for two bookable offences during the New Year's Day defeat at Scunthorpe and sits out a one-game ban so Rhys Bennett could step in at right-back.

Striker George Donnelly came off the bench to play another 25 minutes as he looks to build up his match fitness following an ankle injury and could play a bigger part against Leeds.

Boss Keith Hill has no other new injury or suspension problems as his side prepare to face the Whites for only the third time and the first in nearly 36 years.

Leeds pair Alex Mowatt and Paddy Kenny are both injury doubts.

Midfielder Mowatt returned to the starting line-up in the 2-1 home defeat to Blackburn after a two-game rest, but required an injection in his back and was forced off late in the game.

Goalkeeper Kenny played the full 90 minutes against Blackburn, but was clearly hindered by the ankle injury he sustained in Sunday's defeat at Nottingham Forest, while leading goalscorer Ross McCormack has been nursing tight hamstrings.

Teenage winger Gboly Ariyibi made his second appearance for the club as a second-half substitute on New Year's Day and is hoping for a third outing.
