Calvin Andrew doubtful for Rochdale's clash with Crewe

Rochdale look set to be without striker Calvin Andrew for Tuesday's Sky Bet League One home clash with Crewe.

Andrew limped off in the first half of Saturday's 1-0 loss to Millwall and was undergoing scans on Monday.

The Dale - 15th in the table - will also once again be missing Donal McDermott and Scott Tanser. Midfielder McDermott has been sidelined for the last three games due to a stomach complaint, while defender Tanser has been recovering from a lower leg problem.

Niall Canavan could play some part after joining on loan from Scunthorpe on Monday.

Crewe forward George Cooper is rated as a doubt with a thigh strain.

Zoumana Bakayogo is the favourite to start in Cooper's place unless boss Steve Davis elects to alter his formation.

The Alex remain without George Ray (ankle), Harry Davis (knee), Ryan Wintle (foot), Billy Bingham (hamstring) and Lauri Dalle Valle (ankle).

Crewe have moved off the bottom the table and are up to 22nd, three points adrift of safety, on a five-game unbeaten run - although that sequence has only featured one victory.
