Rochdale midfielder Matthew Lund set to return for Bury clash

Matthew Lund is set to return to Rochdale's matchday squad for the derby clash with Bury at Spotland on Saturday.

The midfielder missed last Saturday's 3-0 win over Southend - Dale's fifth straight League One victory - as he was on international duty with Northern Ireland.

Ian Henderson is expected to be in contention after sitting out the Southend match because of concussion, while it remains to be seen whether Joe Thompson, who came off early in the contest, will be involved this time.

Peter Vincenti (ankle) and Jamie Allen (knee) have been ruled out for four months and two months respectively.

Bury have midfielders Jacob Mellis and Tom Soares back available, with both having completed suspensions.

But Tom Pope is out after suffering a serious injury in the 3-1 loss at Peterborough last weekend.

An early collision left the striker with a punctured lung and three broken ribs, and he has been ruled out for 12 weeks.

Defenders Craig Jones (thigh), Nathan Cameron and Leon Barnett (both knee) are also sidelined.
