Rochdale V Barnet at Spotland Stadium : Match Preview

31 August 2012 17:01
Plenty of options for Coleman John Coleman is set to select from an unchanged squad as Rochdale prepare to host Barnet. The Dale are still searching for their first win of the season after last weekend's 4-2 defeat at Torquay. Coleman's side drew their opening two matches but turned in a below-par performance against the Gulls. Ray Putterill, Craig Curran and Ian Craney all came on as substitutes last weekend and come into consideration. Midfielder Brian Barry-Murphy also provides further options in the middle for Coleman should he wish to reshuffle his starting line-up. Long-term absentees Luke Watson (knee) and Reece Gray (broken leg) remain on the sidelines along with goalkeeper Matt Edwards, who has a wrist injury. Coleman has no fresh injury or suspension worries ahead of the match. Barnet are set to be without striker Jon Nurse for their trip north. Summer signing Nurse was carried off on a stretcher with what appeared to be a nasty neck injury during last weekend's 3-1 defeat by York, but the X-rays came back all clear. However, he was diagnosed with concussion and looks likely to sit out at Spotland, so Jake Hyde could be handed a start in attack alongside Ricky Holmes. Defender Danny Senda and striker Steve Kabba remain on the sidelines as they continue to recover from long-term knee injuries. The Bees are currently bottom of the League Two table having picked up just one point from their first three matches of the season.
