Redshaw worry for Dale

Rochdale striker Jack Redshaw is set for a spell on the sidelines after limping out of Saturday's friendly against Rossendale United. Initially there were fears the former Manchester City striker had broken his ankle but the club have confirmed the injury is nothing more serious than a soft tissue injury. Dale physio Andy Thorpe said: "We got a doctor to look at the injury at the ground as we were planning to send him for an x-ray but he advised that he should be okay and wouldn't need one. "Further investigation has shown Jack has a soft tissue injury following the challenge and it should clear up in a week or two. "Jack is working with me now and can put weight through the ankle now which is a very good sign. Hopefully he'll progress well with treatment and shouldn't miss too much of pre-season."
