Quakers win delights Dale boss

30 September 2009 11:19
The Quakers started brightly and Kevin Gall could have had a hat-trick in the first half but the hosts were made to pay for their missed chances when Dale substitute Will Buckley broke the deadlock on the hour mark. Visiting keeper Kenny Arthur was called upon to make some fine saves before the game was settled in the 81st minute courtesy of Chris O'Grady's volley. Hill said: "Darlington made it very difficult for us, particularly in the first half. "That was a hard game and we have relied on Kenny Arthur pulling off some match-winning saves for us, but this was a good win."
