Perkins linked with Dale exit

Midfielder David Perkins looks set to leave Rochdale before the start of the new season in five weeks' time.
At least two League One clubs, believed to be Stockport County and Colchester United, are interested in signing the former Morecambe midfielder.
However, Dale boss Keith Hill remains upbeat about his side's prospects in the 2008-09 campaign, telling the Rochdale Observer: "We're very optimistic.
"I've sensed a lot of negativity towards things that have happened or haven't happened and it shouldn't be like that after what was an outstanding season last time.
"There's no negativity with respect to the players we're signing. They're a good age and good calibre."
