Parkin baffled by dull Dale

Rochdale manager Steve Parkin thought his side were fortunate to take a point from Saturday's goalless draw with Chester City at Spotland.
Parkin was disappointed that his side could not build on the previous weekend's 5-0 demolition of Darlington although Saturday's stalemate did extend Dale's recent unbeaten run to five games.
"I think with the performance it was definitely one point gained," Parkin told the League Two side's official website.
"It was a dull performance that lacked any quality at all. Nobody expected us to play like that after the result at Darlington last week, we were full of confidence but we had no spark today.
"We've treated the away fans to some terrific performances over the last few weeks and it's time we did the same at home.
"We lacked any quality in every department and made the pitch big when they had the ball and treated the ball like a hot potato when we had it.
"The width of the crossbar allowed us to keep a clean sheet and the clean sheet is the only positive we have from this game."
