Rochdale have handed defender Scott Wiseman a new contract to keep him at Spotland until the end of the season.
The former Darlington defender joined the League Two club on a six-month contract last summer.
"He has definitely deserved it and possibly deserved longer, but it is important that he continues to prove himself," manager Keith Hill told the club's official website.
"He has done exceptionally well for us and we went from strength-to-strength with him in the side.
"He has a real attacking prowess and gives us something that perhaps we haven't had."
