Dons march on

MK Dons climbed to fourth in League One after they came from behind to comfortably beat lowly Rochdale 3-1.

Brian Barry-Murphy handed Dale a shock early lead but further first-half goals from Adam Smith, Charlie MacDonald and Mark Beevers sealed the Dons' second successive win.

Rochdale opened the scoring after eight minutes when Dons keeper David Martin misjudged Barry-Murphy's inswinging free-kick from an acute angle and allowed the ball to loop inside the far post.

But the Dons came roaring back into the game with three goals in 15 minutes before half-time.

Smith sparked the comeback with a 35-yard screamer into the top corner and then MacDonald turned in Daniel Powell's cross from close range, before Beevers scrambled in Luke Chadwick's low cross after 32 minutes.

Dale battled back after the break and Barry-Murphy curled a 25-yard free-kick over the bar and Ashley Grimes fired straight at Martin.
