Le Fondre set for cup runout
Le Fondre's proposed move to League Two rivals Rotherham collapsed over the weekend after the two clubs agreed a fee but he failed to agree personal terms with the Millers.
He will now remain at Spotland for the foreseeable future and looks set to feature at Hillsborough after a substitute appearance in Saturday's 1-1 draw at Port Vale.
Former Wednesday defender Rory McArdle is out for the first two months of the season with a shoulder injury.
