Hill expects Gilks exit

Rochdale boss Keith Hill expects goalkeeper Matt Gilks to leave the club this summer for a higher league. The 24-year-old is out of contract at the end of the season and Hill expects Gilks to be on the wanted list of teams in League One or even the Championship. He told the Rochdale Observer: "I'd love to keep Matt, but we have to be realistic and say he's probably worthy of playing at a higher level. "Whether or not he's going to get that opportunity I don't know. "We'll do everything we can to try to retain his services, but if we don't we'll move on. "We won't dwell on what might be, we'll do our best to keep him but if we don't, there are other goalkeepers out there."
