Hill: Posh trio are too good for third tier

Rochdale boss Keith Hill believes Peterborough`s attacking trio of Aaron Mclean, Craig Mackail-Smith and George Boyd are wasted in League One. Mclean and strike partner Mackail-Smith masterminded Dale's downfall on Friday night with a goal apiece to take their respective totals for the season so far to 14 - 28 between them. And Hill claimed in the wake of his side`s 2-1 defeat at London Road that the top Posh duo, along with Boyd, should have left for bigger clubs in the summer. Hill said: "Every single person inside the stadium could see we were up against better opposition. Peterborough's three forward players should never be playing at this level. They should at least be on the Championship stage if not in the Premier League. "For me the three of them should have left in the summer after Peterborough were relegated back into League One because it is a travesty they are in this league. "That said, we were guilty of giving Peterborough both of their goals. When you are a defender you always have to have your brain switched on and that's an area in which we failed. Peterborough were starting to showboat a bit at 2-0 but we put the fear of God into them when we pulled a goal back."
