Hill not fazed by snub

Rochdale boss Keith Hill remained philosophical about being pipped to the League One Manager of the Month by Brighton counterpart Gus Poyet. Hill and Dale captain Gary Jones were nominated for September's awards but Poyet won the managerial award and Brighton goalkeeper Casper Ankergren landed the Player of the Month. Yet Hill said: "Gary deserves all the accolades on offer for his performances, longevity and legendary status at Rochdale Football Club and his nomination for player of the month shows just how well he is doing. "It also shows how well we have been doing as a team this season because I was nominated for the manger of the month, something that represents what the players are doing out there on the pitch. "The management side of the club put the plans in place but we cannot put it into action on the pitch. It's the players who do that so any success in nominations is thanks to the players believing in us and what we want them to do."
